Patty Rodriguez was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Her love for music and entertainment was bigger than anything else in her life, so one morning while listening to KIIS FM as she was driving to school, she decided to take a detour and head out to KIIS studios in Burbank. She knew luck was on her side when she took a total leap of faith and asked for an internship at the age of 17! She started her radio career in 2000, as an intern for Rick Dees' 102.7 KIIS FM Los Angeles morning show. She continued her internship in the KIIS promotions department, and was later hired as a promotions assistant. During that time, she explored her love of writing and music as she took on another role - Music Editor for 8.5 Magazine, a quarterly lifestyle mag based out of Orange County, CA. As Music Editor for 8.5, she booked interviews with underground bands as The Killers, Ok Go!, Plain White Tees that later went on to become mainstream acts. This valuable experience helped her lead the way to what she was truly meant to do….
Her “never give up” attitude paid off in 2005 when she joined the new On Air 102.7 KIIS FM morning show with American Idol and E! News host, Ryan Seacrest, where she plays a vital role behind the scenes as an associate producer of the #1 rated radio morning show in Los Angeles. On Air With Ryan Seacrest recently announced syndication of their LA morning show in many other markets all over the country, so keep your ears open, you just might be able to hear Patty giggling in the background.
